Kenji Tsuji Appointed as Director-General of Forestry Agency
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) announced personnel changes of ranking staff on December 28, 2006. It included appointment of Mr. Kenji Tsuji, Forestry Agency Deputy Director-General as the agency's Director-General. Mr. Kouichi Nishikawa retired from Agricultural Production Bureau Director-General. He was succeeded by Mr. Shuji Yamada who has been Rural Development Bureau Director-General. Mr. Yasuro Nakajo, Rural Development Bureau Deputy Director-General is appointed the bureau's Director-General.
The pick of Mr. Tsuji as Forestry Agency Director-General is made because his predecessor Mr. Shuzaburo Kawamura resigned on December 26 from the post to run for gubernatorial election of Miyazaki prefecture.
